October Half Term at Pennywell
October Half Term here and Pennywell is open every day between 10am and 5pm every day until 30th October. There’s a different animal activity, show or display every half hour and four free farm rides included in your admission price.
We have some special events coming up for October Half Term week, including pumpkin carving. Every child will have a FREE pumpkin to carve and take home (24 Oct – 30 Oct).
Sunday 30 October is a special day for all football fans when the Chelsea FC Football Foundation, based at South Dartmoor Community College will be at Pennywell for the day. If your child is a budding Premier league star or just wants to come and enjoy a kick about, it’s going to be a great day. There will be skills and drills for toddlers to teenagers. Bottle feeding, goat milking, pig racing and all your favourite activities will be going on throughout the day and additional Half Term entertainment will be provided by Dan the Hat, Poco Drom and Elfic the Jester.
There is acres of space under cover to picnic and play if the weather turns wet so you can enjoy a full day of fun, whatever the weather. If it rains at any time during your visit, we will give you a FREE wet weather return ticket so you can come and do it all over again!
Hundreds of friendly farm animals are waiting to meet you, from mice and guinea pigs to goats, ponies and heavy horses. Pennywell Farm will close for the season on Sun 30th October at 5pm so make sure you visit during Half Term week for your last animal cuddles of the 2017 season.
