Coming up at Pennywell
There is plenty of fun to be had at Pennywell this autumn with plenty coming up to keep you entertained.
The farm is still open every day from 10am to 5pm with a different hands on animal activity, show or display every half hour.
For the first time, we are having a dark sky event at the farm. Join us for a special after hour’s event to see the breath taking Devon night sky from Pennywell Farm.
It’s taking place on Sat 20th October at 7pm during the week of the Orionid Meteor Shower.
Tickets include dinner, a night time tractor and trailer ride, a star gazing presentation and some bat monitoring.
You don’t need any experience or previous knowledge, just come along and discover the awesomeness of the sky above you.
The team here often get to enjoy the night sky on the shorter winter evenings and being on the edge of Dartmoor there is very little light pollution. We enjoy it so much, we thought it would be good to share it.
We’ll be joined on the night by Chris Cooke of the Plymouth Astronomical Society who will be here to help us make sense of it all.
Spaces are limited and booking is essential. Find out more.
Details of our Goat Week this October Half Term are coming soon, watch this space! Training for the event is already underway.
