A visit to any attraction is going to look slightly different wherever you choose this summer due to the COVID-19 restrictions and social distancing. You can still have an amazing time though and if you are planning a visit to Pennywell, among the hundreds of things to do, we have picked our top 5 must- dos.
Ride the Red Rocket
For children from age 4 right through to our senior visitors, we challenge you to leave this ride without a smile on your face. It simply isn’t possible.
Driven by tractor power, bouncing around a bumpy track, it’s noisy, dusty and brilliant fun Join the countdown and blast off!
The Big Show
The big shows are now brought to you twice during your visit to allow for social distancing and will definitely be a highlight of any day. There is different entertainment every day from a team of well know world class entertainers including Dan the Hat, Elfic the Jester, Mr Phil and Billy Wiz.
Pond Dipping
It might not sound that exciting but you’ll be amazed what you can find in the Pennywell ponds. Help yourself to a net and a bucket and go explore. Kids love this activity and the only problem you might have is getting them to leave. As well as life under the water, Pennywell has plenty of dragonflies and damselflies around the ponds.
Cuddle a miniature donkey
In their own paddock, in a quiet area of the farm with some of the best views in Devon you will find our family of miniature donkeys. Wander in and they will come over to meet you and enjoy nothing more than fuss and cuddles from the visitors.
Mum, dad and two foals are always keen to make new friends. They moved to Pennywell from France at the end of last summer and have settled in remarkably well. Their English improving on a daily basis
Pennywell Pig Racing
We promise that the phenomenon that is Pennywell pig racing will have you in stitches from start to finish. With their race track featuring jumps and obstacles, we guarantee you’ve never seen anything like it!
