Easter Fun at Pennywell, Devon Tourist Attraction
Looking for something a little more exciting than just another Easter egg hunt? Pennywell is choc-o-bloc with family fun and animal activities for the whole of the Easter holidays.
Enjoy meeting all the spring babies on the farm with chicks, ducklings, baby rabbits, goat kids and lambs to bottle feed and not forgetting the world famous Pennywell miniature piglets.
Piggy cuddles are guaranteed in our cosy piggy cuddles barn.
Shire horse, Fusilier is celebrating his 30th birthday this year and he’ll be in the farmyard with our resident alpacas, goats, ponies and donkeys. Head into the pets area to meet friendly pets like mice, rabbits, guinea pigs and chipmunks or make some prickly friend in the shape of our albino hedgehogs.
On Good Friday, Devon author, Alison May will be launching her new children’s book at Pennywell. Following the success of the new Behind The Fairy Door® series of children’s books, Alison is set to release the very latest book.
The books follow DT the Railway Cat as he explores a world ‘Behind the Fairy Door’® in a place called Silver Birch Dell, full of fairies and an assortment of charming characters.
The much-anticipated launch of Herbie Sweetcorn and the Chickenpox will be published, just in time for the Easter holidays. Author Alison and her publishing team will in Noah’s Barn from 10am to 5pm and will be signing books and meeting fans old and new.
We have a cracking line up of Easter entertainment for all the family with two shows from one of our world class entertainers every day. Poco Drom, Elfic, Mr Phil and Matt Pang will all be making an appearance.
At 2.30pm every day you can enjoy the phenomenon that is Pennywell Miniature Pig Racing and see our little porkers put through their paces. You really shouldn’t miss it!
On Friday 6 April, Gamegoer Gundogs will be bringing a country fair feel to the farm with three amazing displays with working dogs, hawks and ferrets. Their beautiful dogs are always popular and they will be around all day so that you can ‘meet the stars.’
We’ll have Easter games like egg rolling, guess the weight of the Easter bunny, an Easter trail and for the chocoholics on Easter Sat, Sun and Mon there will be Easter Egg Hunts with chocolate treats for every child.
Plus, four farm rides, indoor and outdoor play, crazy golf, croquet and all the activities and shows included in your admission price.

Yes, bottle feeding is every day 11.30am and 4pm.
Hi what time is the first gundog display?
The displays are at 12pm, 1.30pm and 3pm but Karen and Graham will be around all day to meet the visitors with their dogs, ferrets and hawks. Hope to see you tomorrow.
