National Insect Week June 18 - June 24

Extra insect-y fun and learning all this week as part of the Royal Entomological Society’s National Insect Week. Pennywell Farm Devon Tourist attraction will be taking part in the national pollination survey, Polli:nation. With areas of the farm set aside for wildlife, like the butterfly meadow, there will be lots of insects to see and results to record.  Learn about the importance of  pollinating insects in our eco system and farming while exploring in the long grass on a bug hunt.             Visitors this week will become a citizen scientists and help survey our wildlife areas, the results will help both our Pennywell Ecology Report and the National Polli:nation Survey. Perfect for budding biologists and intrepid entomologists. We'll also be pond dipping and recording what we find to make sure our ponds are healthy and supporting a biodiversity.               Plus Bug Bingo for little scientists and an Insect Quiz to complete as you explore the farm. There may even be prizes! Receive a treat for every child’s (3-16 years) ticket booked online.
