Chelsea Academy at Pennywell Farm
The Chelsea FC Foundation is calling all budding football stars of the future!
The Foundation based at South Dartmoor Academy will be at the Farm this Sunday 23rd April with some training sessions suitable for all levels and all ages.
As well as skills and drills, the coaching team will organise some small sided games and sessions for toddlers to teenagers. It's an excellent opportunity for parents to find out more about the linkup between South Dartmoor and the Chelsea FC Foundation which gives young footballers access to some of the best facilities in the Premier League.
The programme is being coordinated by Colin Lee who played for Chelsea FC and Tottenham Hotspur before going on to manage Wolverhampton and Torquay United.
Colin says, “Chelsea FC Foundation & South Dartmoor Academy Football Education Programme are delighted to be working with Pennywell Farm who are one of the regions premier public attractions to help promote grass roots football for boys and girls in our local community”.
Colin is joined by Chris Beard who joined South Dartmoor Community College as Director of Football, straight from Birmingham City FC.
Pennywell’s Chris Murray says: “It’s brilliant that there is so much commitment from Chelsea FC Foundation and the South Dartmoor Academy to encourage children to engage in football.
“Children should see huge horizons from a young age and we are delighted to be involved with such a fantastic local project”.
The sessions are included in the Pennywell admission price but if you would like any additional information or would like to book a place for a child, give us a call on 01364 642023.
