What to expect
At this time of year the farm is transformed into a magical winter wonderland, with twinkling lights, hundreds of Christmas trees and plenty of Christmas sparkle.
Your visit is a guided journey of around 2 to 2.5 hours. Check in at the North Pole, then travel back 2000 years for a live walking Nativity. Enjoy Christmas animal cuddles, then meet Father Christmas in his grotto where every child receives a gift. Afterwards you are free to explore the Christmas Village.
Know before you go
Booking: Tickets must be booked online in advance. You choose a date and a timed entry slot when you book.
Arrival: Please arrive 15 minutes before your booked time, as each session starts promptly.
What to wear: Parts of the journey are outside and the barns are open, so wrap up warm as it can be chilly.
Refunds: Please book carefully. Tickets are non-refundable and the experience goes ahead in rain and snow. Refunds are only offered if Pennywell cancels the event.
Good to know: This is a guided experience and you stay with your group. Only the top end of the farm is open at this time, so the usual rides and farm activities are not running.

We reserve the right to measure children on admission. Children must be wearing shoes and socks when being measured.

Arrive at the magical North Pole where you will be greeted by our friendly Elves and checked-in! Collect your Christmas passport and get the stamps as you journey through our Christmas experience. Dress-up for the Nativity here if you choose!
🌟 Nativity Journey
It's then time to journey back 2000 years, as the Christmas Nativity begins. Travel to Bethlehem to find an inn for the night. After finding a vacancy in our cosy main barn, experience a real manger with all the Pennywell animals looking on. The scene is set and the story of the first Christmas comes to life.
🐷 Christmas Animal Cuddles
After the Nativity, you'll experience close encounters with some of our amazing animals. Tickle, touch, and stroke our Pennywell Miniature piglets, rabbit, Guinea pigs, and mice.
🎁 Visit Father Christmas
Next, enter our sparkly enchanted forest where Father Christmas will be waiting in his grotto with a special gift for every child. Group visits to Father Christmas will be limited to a maximum of 2 families at a time.

All tickets must be purchased online and in advance at www.pennywellfarm.co.uk. When you book you select a date and a timed entry slot.
You should allow between 2 and 2.5 hours for the experience. Please arrive 15 minutes before the start of your booked time, as each session starts promptly. You are welcome to stay longer in the Christmas Village afterwards.
Dress for the weather. You will move outside as you journey through the experience, and the barns are spacious and open, so wrap up warm as it can be chilly.
Your ticket includes the North Pole check-in, the live walking Nativity, Christmas animal cuddles, a visit to Father Christmas with a gift for every child, the Elves’ Sweet Shop, a tractor and trailer ride, festive treats, indoor and outdoor play, and access to the Christmas Village. New for 2026: the Elves’ Toy Shop, the Post Room, Reindeer Food making and Mrs Claus’ Bakery.
Drinks from the bar, marshmallows to toast, and additional food and drink are available to purchase on the day.
Yes. Everyone attending needs a ticket so we can manage numbers, but babies under 12 months go free. Infants below 90cm are charged at the reduced infant price.
No, dogs are not permitted at the Christmas Experience, with the exception of assistance dogs.
Most of the barns are step-free and accessible, and the pathways are compacted gravel. If you have specific accessibility needs, please contact our team before your visit and we will be happy to help.
Please book carefully as we are unable to offer cancellations, refunds or rescheduled tickets. The Christmas Experience goes ahead in both rain and snow. You will only be offered a refund if we fail to run the experience, and please note the booking fee is non-refundable.

A lovely family day out. My granddaughter really enjoyed seeing all the animals. So much to see and do! We enjoyed feeding the goats and all the animals seemed happy in their surroundings. The deer were beautiful too.

A brilliant day out for all the family, from 18 month olds to 85 years old the whole family will enjoy, a jam packed full day of talks, shows and activities as well as petting area and goat bottle feeding to name a few full list in pictures below. Brilliant family run business that seems to be constantly reinvesting in its growth. Great indoor picnic area with big bouncy castles to keep the kids busy while you eat in peace.

Had such a brilliant day at Penny well farm, so much to do for all ages, the pig racing was brilliant and seeing how much fun the pigs had was fab. Seeing all the animals and the views were awesome, thank you for such an amazing day out

Great place to make a family trip to. All kind of entertaining activities, from Piggy races, to Small animal cuddles, to animal feeding, indoor jumping castles, toddler areas, trampolines, shows, and etc. Always a pleasure, whenever I have visited so far. Keep up the good work Pennywell.

Brilliant farm. It was recommended to us by a few friends and it did not disappoint. All of the staff were really friendly and you can tell that all of the animals are loved and well cared for. Lots of activities on all day. Good facilities. Can’t wait to go back.

We visited Pennywell last night for their pumpkin night. It was perfect in every way. Great pizzas and drinks on offer, so many perfect photo opportunities, our kids had fun in the new play area and especially enjoyed roasting marshmallows.
