Is this event really adults only?

Yes! This evening is exclusively for guests aged 18 and over. It’s your chance to enjoy the farm without little ones running around – whether you're here for a date night, catch-up, or just some peace and quiet.

What time does it start and finish?

We’re planning for the event to run from 5:30pm to 9:00pm.

Will there be food and drink available?

Yes – we’ll have hot food and drinks available to buy, including some grown-up treats. We’re exploring options for local cider or wine too. You’re also welcome to bring your own picnic if you prefer.

Can I cuddle the pigs?

Absolutely. There’ll be plenty of chances for piggy cuddles, goat play, and donkey downtime – all without the usual crowds.

Will the usual farm activities be open?

Yes, but tailored for a more relaxed adult experience. Expect animal encounters, scenic rides, and a few surprises. This isn’t a kids’ day repackaged – it’s been planned with adults in mind.

What should I wear?

It’s still a farm, so we’d recommend practical footwear. Layers are a good idea too – Devon evenings can cool off quickly.

Is this suitable for a first date?

Definitely. It’s quirky, low-pressure, and gives you plenty to talk about. Plus, who wouldn’t fall for someone who can feed a goat, cuddle a pig, stroke a pony or pick a winner in the pig race?

What a place. I went with my adult daughter and her boyfriend. So 3 adults. It's not all about kids lol . We cuddled a pig, that fell asleep on me.we bottle fed the goats, so cute. We went on the tractor ride and the driver was brilliant. We saw Highland cows. Alpacas were super chilled out. We walked a goat and then milked a goat. This place.is beautiful the views are stunning.

Not a single complaint. The day has been amazing. A group of us took our friend as a surprise for her birthday. From the moment we entered reception, the staff treated us so well and gave her the full birthday treatment. The animals are adorable and cuddling a piglet was a memory we won't forget. The chance to milk a goat was great fun. I didn't hear anyone there complain about anything. Just lots of very excited children and smiling adults. We're going back very soon! Thank you to all the staff! ✌️💜😊

This was an absolutely fantastic day out. I went with my friend, we are both in our 20s and this is definitely somewhere adults can enjoy just as much as (or even more than) children. Every member of staff we met was really welcoming and informative. The animals seemed happy and well cared for - as a vegetarian this is always a big concern of mine, and I was pleased to see that the staff seem to be dedicated to animal welfare.

Pennywell Farm is hands down the best farm we’ve ever visited! From the moment we arrived, there were so many activities to enjoy and countless opportunities to get up close to the animals. It’s incredibly interactive, which made the whole experience fun and memorable for both adults and kids.

We mainly chose Pennywell Farm for the pig cuddling, although we were a party of 6 adults!! We thought after the pig cuddling we would be done but we were there for a very long time and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Ample places to eat/drink and washrooms. Handwashing facilities were also plentiful. I recommend a visit for both young and old.

We are from Manchester, but are staying in Looe, Cornwall for a family holiday. I have wanted to find a farm where I could cuddle piglets for a long time and this place didn’t disappoint. Absolutely loved my time here. Plenty to do for kids and adults. Spend most of the day there enjoying things to do every half an hour. The piglet cuddles were definitely the highlight for me, but lovely staff. Would highly recommend.

We came as 2 adults and although the farm is mostly aimed at young people we still had a great time. The farm was super clean and tidy, all the staff were friendly and attentive. It’s been super hot and I’m glad to see the animals have fans in their enclosures and have not been forced to be overworked etc in the heat. The pasties are delicious and the ice creams are too. We had a great day. Favourite moments were getting to cuddle a pig and a kid 💖

Lovely day out, went as a date and there was a surprising amount to see and experience for two grown adults! Just make sure you both enjoy the presence of animals!

A lovely family day out. My granddaughter really enjoyed seeing all the animals. So much to see and do! We enjoyed feeding the goats and all the animals seemed happy in their surroundings. The deer were beautiful too.

A brilliant day out for all the family, from 18 month olds to 85 years old the whole family will enjoy, a jam packed full day of talks, shows and activities as well as petting area and goat bottle feeding to name a few full list in pictures below. Brilliant family run business that seems to be constantly reinvesting in its growth. Great indoor picnic area with big bouncy castles to keep the kids busy while you eat in peace.

Great place to make a family trip to. All kind of entertaining activities, from Piggy races, to Small animal cuddles, to animal feeding, indoor jumping castles, toddler areas, trampolines, shows, and etc. Always a pleasure, whenever I have visited so far. Keep up the good work Pennywell.

What a brilliant day we had. Great family memories were made. Beautiful animals and friendly staff. Loved the viewing tower and the kids adored the cuddles with the pigs, bunnies, mice and guinea pigs. We will be back again for definite. Thank you for making the whole family smile.

Brilliant farm. It was recommended to us by a few friends and it did not disappoint. All of the staff were really friendly and you can tell that all of the animals are loved and well cared for. Lots of activities on all day. Good facilities. Can’t wait to go back.

We visited Pennywell last night for their pumpkin night. It was perfect in every way. Great pizzas and drinks on offer, so many perfect photo opportunities, our kids had fun in the new play area and especially enjoyed roasting marshmallows.
